Back Dental Assistant â Solo Private General Dentistry Practice Location: Arcadia, CA Schedule: MondayâThursday Position: Back Dental Assistant Employment Type: Long-term, Part-Time/Full-Time We are a solo private general dentistry practice in Arcadia looking for a dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented Back Dental Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term member of our practiceânot simply someone looking for a temporary position. The ideal candidate is a team player who can stay organized, complete tasks efficiently, anticipate the dentist's needs, and provide excellent patient care. Schedule Monday: 9:00 AMâ6:00 PM â 1-hour lunch Tuesday: 9:00 AMâ3:30 PM â 1-hour lunch (optional/flexible) Wednesday: 8:00 AMâ5:00 PM â 1-hour lunch Thursday: 8:00 AMâ5:00 PM â 1-hour lunch We are flexible regarding the Tuesday schedule for the right candidate. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate: Is dependable, punctual, and professional Is proactive and able to anticipate the dentist's needs Works efficiently and completes assigned tasks on time Is highly organized and detail-oriented Works well independently and as part of a small team Has excellent patient communication and customer-service skills Is comfortable working in a fast-paced private-practice environment Takes pride in keeping the back office clean, organized, and fully prepared Is interested in building a long-term career with our practice Preferred Experience Experience or familiarity with the following is a plus: General dentistry Dental implants Invisalign/clear aligner cases Digital radiographs Dentrix Treatment room setup and turnover Instrument sterilization and infection-control procedures Dental laboratory cases and impressions/scans Responsibilities Assist the dentist during general dental procedures Anticipate the dentist's needs during treatment Prepare treatment rooms and procedure trays Take digital dental radiographs as permitted by California requirements Clean, sterilize, package, and maintain dental instruments Maintain proper infection-control procedures Turn over operatories efficiently between patients Open and close the back office as instructed Maintain adequate supplies and notify the doctor when supplies need to be ordered Assist with laboratory cases and case organization Help with scheduling appointments and answering phones when needed Communicate professionally with patients Help patients feel comfortable and at ease during treatment Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient back office Perform other duties necessary to support the daily operation of the practice Required Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred Current CPR/BLS certification as required Appropriate California radiography/radiation-safety training and documentation for duties performed Ability to legally perform assigned dental assisting duties under California law Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures Excellent attendance and reliability Professional appearance and communication skills California dental assisting requirements will be verified based on the duties assigned and the candidate's education, certifications, and experience. The practice will ensure required California Dental Board-approved training and applicable BLS requirements are completed within the required timeframes. Why Join Our Practice?
