Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Torrance, CA
Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. We are a high-end dental office that intentionally sees a limited number of patients (max 8) per day to ensure each patient receives the time, attention, and quality of care they deserve. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the clinical team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help create a truly elevated patient experience. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and evaluating oral health status Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health Build strong patient relationships by spending meaningful time with each patient and ensuring comfort throughout visits Assist dentists during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow and patient-centered care Operate dental equipment such as digital X-rays and intraoral cameras following proper aseptic techniques Maintain accurate and detailed records using EMR systems (e.g., Dentrix or Eaglesoft) in compliance with HIPAA Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Experience in general dentistry (pediatric experience is a plus) Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices Ability to assist efficiently with four-handed dentistry techniques when needed Excellent interpersonal and patient care skills with a compassionate, detail-oriented approach Commitment to high-quality, patient-focused dentistry rather than high-volume production What Makes Us Different High-end, fee-for-service practice Low patient volume with a focus on quality over quantity Emphasis on building long-term patient relationships Supportive, team-oriented work environment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $450.00 - $600.00 per day Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Referral program Work Location: In person
