Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with the dental team to deliver high-quality services in a friendly and professional environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations. Provide preventive dental care, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a positive experience for young patients. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans and provide support during procedures. Monitor and record vital signs as part of patient assessments. Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments. Support dental assisting duties when required, ensuring smooth office operations. Experience Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices. Familiarity with medical coding and insurance processes is advantageous. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is desirable.
