Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Dentist to join our vibrant dental team in, CA. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient examinations, including dental diagnosis and assessment of oral health conditions. Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Carry out specialized treatments including orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, dental implants, and pediatric dentistry as needed. Utilize dental imaging technology and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe treatment environment. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care instructions. Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery. Maintain detailed medical records and document all procedures clearly within electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Skills Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Proficiency in using dental software platforms like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing. Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization procedures. Experience with dental fabrication processes including crowns, bridges, and prosthetics. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and other complex procedures confidently. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and the unique needs of young patients. Familiarity with healthcare diagnosis processes and comprehensive patient care planning.
