Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Troy, MI

We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic RDA to join our practice from Monday to Wednesday and play a key role in supporting our clinical team. Responsibilities: Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during all orthodontic procedures Take orthodontic records, including digital scans, impressions, intraoral/extraoral photos, and radiographs Place and remove archwires, separators, and orthodontic appliances under doctor direction Perform expanded functions permitted by the Michigan Dental Board for RDAs Educate patients and parents on appliance care, treatment expectations, and oral hygiene instructions Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment notes Sterilize instruments, maintain infection control protocols, and support OSHA compliance Contribute to an efficient clinical flow and a positive patient experience Qualifications: Current Michigan RDA license and X-ray certification (must be active and in good standing) Minimum 1â2 years of orthodontic assisting experience required Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and materials Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented, dependable, and a strong team player Professional, patient-focused, and committed to high-quality care Compensation & amp; Benefits: Competitive pay, commensurate with experience Benefits package (may include medical, dental, paid time off, continuing education) Professional and supportive work environment Opportunities for growth and development within the practice How to Apply: Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their resume and cover letter to (insert email address or application link) Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Professional development assistance Experience: 1year: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
