Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist and hygienist with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and providing oral hygiene instructions. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and billing information. - Perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, including radiology, medical coding, and dental receptionist duties. - Utilize 3D scanner technology to assist in dental procedures and provide patients with a more comprehensive understanding of their oral health. - Work closely with the dental team to ensure efficient and organized care, and maintain a clean and organized treatment environment. - Assist with pediatric dentistry patients, providing a gentle and caring approach to ensure their comfort and satisfaction. - Familiarize yourself with electronic health records (EHR) systems and assist with data entry and retrieval. - Demonstrate a commitment to aseptic technique, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients. Skills: - Experience in pediatric dentistry or a willingness to learn. - Proficiency in using dental systems and software, including Epic. - Strong understanding of dental receptionist duties and experience with medical coding. - Familiarity with X-ray technology and ability to assist with radiology procedures. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment and adhering to aseptic technique. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dental team and provide exceptional patient care. Language Requirement: Spanish-speaking ability is required for this position. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and their families. Fluent in Spanish and English (Required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking pediatric patients and their parents/guardians.
