What We're Looking For Our ideal Dental Assistant: Is compassionate, friendly, and committed to patient comfort Is dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Takes initiative and anticipates the dentist's needs Works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Communicates professionally with patients and coworkers Is receptive to feedback and eager to learn Takes pride and ownership in their responsibilities Wants a long-term opportunity to grow with our practice Has previous dental assisting experience (a plus, but not requiredâwe are willing to train the right person) What You'll Do Provide chairside assistance during general, restorative, and surgical procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Assist with X-rays, 3D scans, impressions, and other clinical procedures Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control protocols Set up and break down operatories between patients Keep treatment rooms and clinical areas clean, organized, and prepared Anticipate the dentist's needs to help maintain an efficient clinical flow Help patients feel comfortable and cared for before, during, and after treatment Provide post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist Maintain accurate clinical documentation Follow OSHA and practice protocols Work collaboratively with the entire dental team Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, but not required New Jersey Dental Radiology/X-Ray certification is a plus; we are willing to train the right individual Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures Knowledge of dental X-rays is a plus Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures Experience with impressions and other clinical procedures is a plus Eaglesoft experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stay organized, professional, and composed in a busy environment A positive attitude and genuine desire to learn and grow Why You'll Love Working With Us At Parkview Dental , we believe our team should feel just as valued as our patients.
