Orthodontic-Experienced Dental Hygienist KidShine Dental & Orthodontics | Hawaii About the Role KidShine Dental & Orthodontics is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and experienced Dental Hygienist with orthodontic experience to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a hygienist who enjoys working with children and teens and is comfortable supporting patients throughout their orthodontic journey. What You'll Do Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene services for pediatric and adolescent patients Perform dental cleanings, polishing, fluoride treatments, periodontal assessments, and appropriate radiographs Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive care Provide oral hygiene instruction specifically related to braces and orthodontic appliances Monitor and educate patients regarding plaque control, gingival health, and areas of concern during orthodontic treatment Assist with orthodontic-related hygiene needs and patient education Recognize potential oral health concerns and communicate findings appropriately to the dentist or orthodontic provider Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Follow all infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and office protocols Help create a fun, welcoming, and comfortable environment for children and families Work closely with dentists, orthodontists, dental assistants, and the front office as part of a collaborative team Support a positive team culture and contribute to the smooth flow of the clinical schedule What We're Looking For Current Hawaii Dental Hygienist license Current CPR/BLS certification Previous dental hygiene experience preferred Orthodontic experience strongly preferred Pediatric dental experience is a plus Comfortable working with children, teens, and parents Strong communication and patient education skills Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Positive attitude and professional demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a busy pediatric/orthodontic environment Team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed Why Join KidShine?
