About this role We are hiring a part-time registered dental hygienist for our Mineola office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. You will have your own column, modern equipment, and doctors who genuinely partner with hygiene on diagnosis and patient education. The hygienists who do well here see themselves as part of the patient experience, not just the cleaning. They co-diagnose with the doctor, educate patients on what they see, and hand off warmly to the front desk. What you will do Provide prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance for adult and pediatric patients Complete periodontal charting, take digital radiographs and intraoral photos, and document thoroughly Perform oral cancer screenings and review medical histories Educate patients on their findings and co-diagnose with the treating doctor, including introducing restorative needs and Invisalign when appropriate Reappoint your patients before they leave the chair and support recall efforts during open time Keep instruments, sterilization, and your operatory to protocol What we are looking for Active New York State dental hygiene license (RDH) in good standing Current CPR/BLS certification Local anesthesia and nitrous certification a plus Comfortable with digital radiography and intraoral photography Eaglesoft experience helpful; we will train the right person Warm with patients, easy with a team, and willing to speak up about what you see Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus Schedule Part-time, three days per week: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There may be opportunity to pick up additional hours as the practice grows.
