Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced medical imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate health records (EHR) by documenting treatment notes, medical terminology, and clinical observations in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health. Follow strict infection-prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection-control standards, to ensure a safe clinical environment. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and general dentistry procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately across diverse age groups.
