Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop accurate diagnoses using advanced medical imaging and dental terminology. Perform root canal therapy, endodontic surgeries, and other specialized procedures with precision and aseptic technique. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Educate patients on their diagnoses, treatment options, post-procedure care, and oral health maintenance strategies. Utilize practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing processes. Uphold infection control standards and adhere to all safety protocols related to oral surgery, dental implants, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Skills Extensive knowledge of endodontics procedures including root canal therapy, apical surgery, and retreatments. Proficiency with dental imaging techniques and understanding of anatomy relevant to endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. Strong client communication skills to explain complex procedures clearly and empathetically. Experience with dental fabrication techniques related to restorations following endodontic treatments. Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform general dentistry tasks when needed, including dental extractions or assisting with oral surgery cases. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
