Position Overview The Dental Hygienist will provide comprehensive preventive dental hygiene services while educating patients on proper oral health and maintaining a high standard of clinical care. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about building positive relationships with patients. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance Take digital dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations Perform periodontal charting and assessments Apply fluoride and other preventive treatments as appropriate Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, nutrition, and overall oral health Review medical and dental histories and identify relevant health concerns Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the practice management system Communicate treatment findings and recommendations with the dentist and dental team Maintain a clean, organized, and properly sterilized operatory Follow all OSHA, infection-control, and practice safety protocols Provide a comfortable and positive patient experience Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and a productive schedule Qualifications Current Dental Hygiene license in the state of MD Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program Current CPR/BLS certification Experience as a dental hygienist preferred Strong clinical and communication skills Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable working with patients of all ages Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care If you are a compassionate and motivated Dental Hygienist who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, we would love to hear from you.
