Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Take dental x-rays and 3D scans Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Patterson Imaging and MOGO Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices to promote optimal dental health. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation during appointments as needed for comprehensive patient care. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment by following dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Requirements Proficient English Comfortable with computer use. Certification in radiography (X-ray license) Basic knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, instruments, and procedures. Familiarity with X-ray techniques, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic technique. Basic understanding of oral anatomy and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care.
