Responsibilities Assist the dentist with pediatric examinations, restorative procedures, extractions, and other dental treatments. Perform coronal polishing as permitted by applicable California regulations and employee credentials. Take dental X-rays and assist with other clinical procedures as directed. Provide fluoride treatments and age-appropriate oral hygiene instruction when permitted. Create a positive, friendly, and comfortable experience for pediatric patients. Prepare, clean, sterilize, and maintain treatment rooms and instruments. Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. Communicate professionally with parents and the dental team. Help maintain an efficient, organized, and positive clinical environment.
