Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Salem, UT
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled DentalHygienist to join our dental practice. Working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient education, and collaboration with the dental team to promote overall oral health. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical records and taking vital signs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for young patients. Utilize medical imaging technology to capture diagnostic images as needed. Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health. Proficient in documentation review and maintaining medical records accurately. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and their significance in patient care. Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical setting is preferred. Ability to operate various systems and equipment used in a dental clinic environment. Competence in medical imaging procedures to assist with diagnostics.
