Lead Dental Assistant - Trent Family Dentistry - Midlothian, VA

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our Dentist & Hygienists in providing excellent patient care while maintaining a safe and clean environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused established dental practice. - Assist the Dentist during procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order. - Maintain accurate patient records and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls. - Take vital signs and record patient information - Prepare patients for appointments and procedures, ensuring that they are comfortable and prepared for their treatment. - Provide support with patient education and communication, ensuring that patients understand their treatment plans and post-operative care instructions. - Participate in infection control and aseptic technique, adhering to the highest standards of sterilization and hygiene. - Assist in the preparation and setup of treatment rooms, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order. - Collaborate with the dentist and other team members to deliver comprehensive patient care. - Perform other related duties as required by the dentist. Skills: - Strong understanding of dental assisting principles and practices. - Experience with four-handed dentistry and the ability to work effectively with the dentist. - Knowledge of dental systems and software, including Softdent. - Experience with infection control and aseptic technique. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
