Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and energetic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. ENTRY LEVEL ASSISTANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. The ideal candidate will possess the basic assisting skills such as suctioning and infection control. The position is for an individual who is eager to learn new skills and get trained and mentored on the job. The ideal candidate will be positive, flexible and friendly with the team and the patients. This position will provide a great opportunity for advancement for the right person. Office hours are M-Th, 8:00 am - 5 pm. Duties - Assist the dentist and hygienist during various dental procedures - Setup/breakdown treatment and hygiene rooms before and after procedures - Take diagnostic digital radiographs - Maintain accurate patient records including procedure notes and treatment plans - Maintain the sterilization area, run instruments, pack the cassettes following proper guidelines already in place - Communicate effectively with the rest of the team regarding patient's needs and current/future appointments Requirements - Certification in Dental Assisting - x-ray certification is a must - Friendly and energetic - Familiarity with OpenDental software is a plus - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Spanish speaking is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $22.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Paid training Uniform allowance License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: Springfield, VA 22150 (Required) Work Location: In person
