Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Virginia Beach, VA

Job Overview We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice in Virginia Beach. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play an important role in building those relationships while providing high-quality preventive and periodontal care. We are looking for someone who is clinically confident, dependable, personable, and excited to grow alongside our practice. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dental hygiene and periodontal therapy Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and other hygiene procedures within the scope of practice Complete periodontal charting and comprehensive patient assessments Obtain and review patient medical and dental histories Take high-quality diagnostic radiographs Educate patients about oral health, periodontal disease, home care, and preventive dentistry Clearly document clinical findings and treatment in the patient's electronic record Maintain excellent infection-control and sterilization standards Communicate effectively with the dentist and other members of the clinical team Help create a comfortable, welcoming, and positive experience for every patient Build lasting relationships with patients and contribute to a supportive team environment Qualifications Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license Strong clinical and periodontal skills Excellent communication and patient-education skills Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable using digital radiography and dental practice-management software Knowledge of HIPAA and current infection-control standards Previous general dentistry experience preferred, but we are happy to consider the right candidate at any stage of their career What We're Looking For Clinical skills matter, but so does how you treat people.
