Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Fort Collins, CO

KidsFirst Dental is looking for a dependable, positive Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. Weâre a fun, busy pediatric office looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with kids, and wants to find an office where they can stay and grow. Dental assisting skills are important, but attitude, dependability, work ethic, and being a great teammate matter just as much to us. We value people who are proactive, stay busy, and jump in when something needs to be done. What You'll Do Provide four-handed chairside assistance Prepare and turn over treatment rooms Take dental X-rays and perform coronal polishing Sterilize instruments and follow infection-control procedures Help children feel comfortable and have a positive dental experience Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-op care Maintain accurate patient records Keep treatment areas organized and stocked Pitch in wherever needed to keep the day running smoothly What We're Looking For Dental assisting experience or completion of a dental assisting program preferred Pediatric experience is a plus, but not required Current CPR certification Appropriate X-ray qualifications/certification Coronal polishing experience/certification preferred Dentrix experience is a plus Someone who is organized, proactive, dependable, and great with kids Schedule We see patients 4 days per week , typically MondayâThursday or TuesdayâFriday. School year: approximately 7:30 AMâ3:30 PM Summer: approximately 7:00 AMâ3:00 PM Twice per month: a half-day non-patient admin day for office cleaning, organization, training, and other team tasks Our schedule provides regular extended weekends and more time for family, friends, travel, and life outside of work. Pay & Benefits $20â$25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
