Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Albuquerque, NM
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team! Job Description Our Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide excellent patient care and support the smooth operation of the dental office. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, a strong communicator, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry and a variety of procedures. Assist with restorative procedures, crowns and bridges, temporary restorations, limited orthodontics, and extractions. Take digital dental X-rays. Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for procedures. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments according to infection-control standards. Provide chairside assistance and anticipate the dentistâs needs during treatment. Accurately document treatment notes and update patient records using Dentrix. Assist with patient scheduling and maintaining an efficient patient flow. Help patients feel comfortable and provide professional, compassionate care. Work collaboratively with the dentist and entire dental team. Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology and infection-control procedures. Experience with digital X-rays and Dentrix is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A positive attitude and commitment to excellent patient care. Experience using intra oral scanner/3D printing, not required, but ready to train.
