Location: Great Neck, NY Position: Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice. We are seeking someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working with children, teens, and adults, and wants to be part of a positive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist with patient care and clinical procedures Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Take digital photographs, X-rays, and dental scans as needed Assist with braces, clear aligners, expanders, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances Place and remove orthodontic wires, elastics, brackets, and appliances as directed Provide patients with instructions regarding oral hygiene and orthodontic care Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and appliance maintenance Monitor patient progress and communicate any concerns to the orthodontist Sterilize instruments and follow all infection-control protocols Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient Work closely with the front desk and clinical team to keep the office running efficiently Qualifications Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred Dental assisting certification is a plus, but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working with children and teenagers Reliable, punctual, and highly organized Positive attitude and professional demeanor Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Team player who is willing to learn and grow What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Friendly, supportive, and collaborative team environment Modern orthodontic practice with up-to-date technology Opportunities for professional growth and training Consistent schedule and a positive workplace culture Opportunity to become an integral part of a growing orthodontic practice If you are enthusiastic, hardworking, and love helping patients achieve a confident smile, we would love to hear from you!
