Responsibilities Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Diagnose dental conditions accurately using clinical assessments and medical imaging techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs while explaining procedures clearly to ensure informed consent. Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for efficient patient documentation and record keeping. Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists during four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and patient comfort. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques to enhance treatment quality. Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Must be credentialed with Medicaid Skills Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical diagnosis, and healthcare documentation standards. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, implants, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Ability to assess patient needs through comprehensive examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach toward pediatric dentistry and adult patients alike. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and medical imaging technology. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws related to medical records management.
