Wilmington Prosthodontics | Wilmington, NC Think: beautiful new office, all-new equipment, one patient at a time, interesting dentistry, four-day work weeks, low patient volume, 100% doctor-owned solo practice, no assembly-line schedule...and a doctor who absolutely loves what she does, who she works with, and the patients she treats. Wilmington Prosthodontics is a new, independent specialty practice focused on complex restorative and prosthodontic care. Our prosthodontist is a young female doctor who is thorough and particular about doing excellent dentistry â but also has a sense of humor, genuinely cares about her patients and team, and wants to create a work environment where people enjoy working together. Why This Job Is Different Single-column schedule â we are not trying to bounce between three patients at once. Very low patient volume while the practice grows. Brand-new office and equipment. A wide variety of procedures including crowns, bridges, implant restorations, dentures, full-mouth rehabilitation, complex restorative cases, digital dentistry, and more. Opportunities to work in the dental lab and learn more about the prosthetic side of dentistry. Time to actually get to know patients and provide great care. You should be: A Dental Assistant II Experienced in restorative dentistry Comfortable assisting with complex restorative and prosthodontic procedures Reliable and dependable Organized and detail-oriented Professional but personable Comfortable learning new technology and workflows Willing to jump in wherever needed Someone who takes pride in keeping an office clean, organized, and running smoothly Someone who enjoys getting to know patients and has a good sense of humor Interested in becoming a long-term member of the practice A Quick Note About Our Startup Phase Because this is a brand-new practice , the schedule will initially be very light. That means there will be days when you're assisting with an amazing prosthodontic case â and other times when you'll help answer the phone, schedule a patient, check someone out, organize supplies, work in the lab, or help us figure out the best way to run something. You must be comfortable answering phones and helping with basic front-office responsibilities while we grow. We don't expect the dental assistant to be the receptionist. As patient volume increases, we plan to add additional administrative and clinical team members. Right now, we're looking for someone excited by the idea of building the practice with us from the beginning. Your Role Will Include Chairside assisting Setting up and breaking down operatories Sterilization and infection control Digital scanning and restorative workflows Assisting with implant and prosthodontic procedures Temporary restorations Dental laboratory work and learning opportunities Ordering and organizing clinical supplies Maintaining the clinical areas and equipment Answering phones and scheduling patients when needed Checking patients in and out when needed Helping create systems and workflows as the practice grows The Person We're Hoping to Find Clinical skills matter, but attitude and ethics matter just as much.
