Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant II to join our team. In this role, you will assist in delivering quality, compassionate dental care by working alongside the dentist during examinations and treatments. Your responsibilities will include preparing the operatory and equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining a smooth and organized flow of care. You will also play a key role in building strong patient relationships and ensuring a flawless patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and unobtrusive workflow. Ability to multitask, take initiative and anticipate needs of others Prepare the operatory so that all equipment is ready and sterilized before and after treatments. Is dependable, prompt and works well with a team Greet and prepare patients, answering questions and helping them feel at ease throughout their visit. Take and review radiographs, confirming they meet diagnostic standards before the dentist enters the treatment area. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment notes that are thorough, factual, and understandable. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide clear explanations of procedures performed during appointments. Adhere to all office protocols and policies, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and other relevant regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, and DOL. Previous experience in a dental assisting role. (Preferred) Experience with Open Dental Software. (Preferred) Experience with Digital Intraoral Scanning (Preferred) Experience in assisting with endodontics, oral surgery, implants and orthodontics. (Preferred) Certifications and Education High School Diploma/GED Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program CDA or NC classified DA II with work experience Compliance with state dental practice requirements: X-ray certification, CPR certified, OSHA training, HIPAA training A motivated self-starter who can work well both with supervision and direct close direction Knowledge of dental terminology and ADA codes Benefits (Full Time) Health Care Stipend Employee and immediate family dental discount Uniform allowance PTO days Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
