Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to aid diagnosis while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance for patient privacy Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to enhance their understanding and comfort Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical records efficiently Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and aseptic technique is essential Proficiency in using dental software platforms like Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar EMR systems is required Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical terminology enhances your effectiveness in this role Experience with advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners or digital radiography is a plus Demonstrated ability to handle medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations is important for success in this position Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding patient care through energetic teamwork and professional excellence!
