Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, performing dental imaging, maintaining infection control protocols, and ensuring accurate medical documentation. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment room and necessary instruments - Perform intraoral scanning for the fabrication of dental restorations - Take and develop dental x-rays and perform other medical imaging procedures as required - Maintain infection control protocols, including sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment rooms - Prepare materials for impressions and restorations - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring patient comfort - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend preferred, but not required - Code dental procedures for billing purposes using appropriate medical coding systems - Take and record vital signs of patients as necessary Requirements: - Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures - Proficiency in using dental software systems - Excellent infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols - Ability to take accurate medical documentation and code procedures correctly - Familiarity with taking vital signs and basic medical assisting duties If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for providing exceptional patient care, we would love to hear from you.
