Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help promote healthy smiles and foster positive patient experiences in a welcoming environment. 1â2 days per week (MonâThurs), with the option to move into full time. Flexible daytime hours between Monday and Thursday. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to prevent and treat periodontal disease. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling to improve their dental health outcomes. Review and update electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans. Collaborate with dentists and other team members in providing comprehensive general dentistry services. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Ability to perform dental X-rays accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control practices.
