What You’ll Do

• Assist the orthodontist with a variety of clinical procedures
• Prepare patients, treatment areas, instruments, and materials
• Take high-quality digital scans, photographs, and radiographs
• Perform orthodontic procedures within the scope permitted by California law
• Provide clear instructions regarding appliances, aligners, elastics, and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Follow all sterilization, infection-control, and safety protocols
• Keep the clinical area organized, stocked, and ready for each patient
• Anticipate the doctor’s needs and support an efficient patient schedule
• Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and team members
• Help create a welcoming, upbeat, and memorable SmileHaus experience

What We’re Looking For

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is strongly preferred but open to training
• Current California dental assisting credentials and required certifications
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Experience with digital scanning, photography, and radiographs
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Strong attention to detail and clinical organization
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Professional, polished, and friendly demeanor
• Dependability, initiative, and excellent follow-through
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
