Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing while adhering to aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dental terminology, and the importance of regular check-ups. Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and streamline office operations. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all medical coding is correct. Experience Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix software systems is a plus. Knowledge of dentistry practices and four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable. Strong understanding of anatomy, infection control measures, and dental terminology. Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
