Pleasant Valley Dental Care in Cambridge, VT (the office of Dr. Jevin Carruth) is seeking an experienced front desk coordinator to join our amazing team! As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Previous experience is a must. Responsibilities: - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere - Bill dental procedures to insurance digitally using our dental practice management software - Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits - Discuss details of dental treatment plans with patients, answering questions about cost, insurance coverage, and alternative treatment plan options - Follow up regularly with outstanding insurance claims, resubmitting when necessary and contacting insurance company representatives to troubleshoot claim denials - Track aging reports, generate statements to send to patients regarding outstanding bills - Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and maintain accurate financial records - Answer phone throughout the day to answer scheduling and billing questions. - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence Experience: - Previous experience working in a dental office is a must - Proficiency in using dental office management software, and proficiency in using computers and word processing software in general - Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy - Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively - Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping We offer competitive pay based on experience.
