Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate tools and techniques. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed to enhance patient care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support. Maintain accurate patient records using OpenDental software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays and other diagnostic tools. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Qualifications Valid MO license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficient in general dentistry practices and procedures. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
