Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Nooksack, WA
Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 3pm Overview Join our friendly and dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral health care! In this position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support our commitment to patient comfort and safety. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Duties Teeth Cleaning: Remove plaque, calculus, and stains from tooth surfaces and below the gum line. Oral Assessments: Screen for oral cancer, check gum health, and review patient medical and dental history. Preventative Care: Apply protective sealants and topical fluoride treatments to strengthen teeth. Diagnostics: Take clear, high quality radiographs for provider interpretation Patient Education: Teach proper brushing, flossing, and nutrition habits to improve daily oral hygiene. Record Keeping: Document patient care, update treatment plans, and chart clinical findings. Experience Familiarity with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft is highly preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care. Demonstrated ability in chairside manner, including handling dental equipment and performing dental x-rays accurately. Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Excellent communication skills for client education, documentation review, and collaborating effectively with the dental team. Spanish-speaking ability is a valuable asset, as we serve a large Spanish-speaking patient population We work closely with an intimate community where we build relationships with individuals and families that regularly return for routine care.
