Responsibilities Assist the dentist during surgical and implant procedures Assist with dental implants, All-on-4/All-on-X, extractions, and bone grafting Prepare surgical operatories, instruments, and implant components Maintain sterile technique and proper infection-control protocols Assist with sedation cases as permitted and directed by the provider Take digital X-rays and assist with panoramic and CBCT imaging Prepare patients for surgery and review pre-operative instructions Provide post-operative instructions and patient support Maintain accurate clinical documentation Sterilize instruments and maintain surgical equipment Monitor surgical inventory and ensure supplies are properly stocked Anticipate the doctor's needs and help maintain an efficient surgical workflow Qualifications Previous dental surgical assisting experience required Implant and oral surgery experience strongly preferred Experience with All-on-4/All-on-X cases is a major plus New Jersey Dental Radiologic Technologist (X-ray) license preferred/required for radiographic duties NJ RDA/CDA preferred Current BLS/CPR certification Sedation and patient-monitoring experience preferred Familiarity with CBCT and digital dentistry is a plus Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection-control protocols Excellent communication and organizational skills Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment Compensation $28â$32 per hour , depending on surgical experience, credentials, and qualifications.
