Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dental team. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools and techniques. Diagnose dental conditions accurately by utilizing dental terminology and medical diagnosis principles, including identifying issues related to endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Deliver high-quality general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, dental implants, and other restorative procedures. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to document patient information meticulously while adhering to HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols rigorously to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions clearly and empathetically. Collaborate with team members on treatment planning and coordinate complex cases involving specialties such as orthodontics or oral surgery when necessary. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical imaging technology and anatomy to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards related to medical documentation and medical records management. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry with current certification in general dentistry practices. Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings with proficiency in dental fabrication techniques and client communication skills. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Demonstrated ability in performing dental procedures including extractions, root canal therapy, implants, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and state healthcare regulations governing medical documentation and patient privacy. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and clinical procedures.
