Craft Smiles Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a fun, experienced and energetic dental assistant for our office in Newburgh, NY. We are looking for someone who loves working with children and families, values being part of a team, is self-motivated, and has a positive attitude. One or two years experience in the field would be great. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following: - Assisting the dentist during all treatment procedures including use of nitrous oxide - Taking impressions for study models and photos for records - Setting up and breaking down rooms according to infection control policies - Sterilizing instruments and equipment - Taking patients medical and dental history - Charting and other note taking - Providing pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and parents - Teaching oral hygiene techniques (brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling) to patients and parents - Helping patients and parents feel comfortable throughout their visit - Making sure the schedule flows well throughout the day and keep the office running on time - Assisting with administrative duties when patient care is not required - Inventory/Supply ordering and stocking Job Type: Full-time Benefit Conditions: PTO and 401(K) matching and Profit Sharing - qualification after 1 year of full time employment Dental Specialty: Pediatric Dentistry Work Remotely No Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Paid time off Profit sharing Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: dental assistant: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Dental Assistant Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
