Summary As a Certified Orthodontic Assistant at Faber Orthodontics, you will work closely with our orthodontist to deliver high-quality orthodontic care. You will play a key role in ensuring a positive patient experience while maintaining efficiency and precision in clinical tasks. Responsibilities: Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures, including bonding, banding, and adjustments. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and impressions as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care. Manage patient records and coordinate appointment scheduling. Provide exceptional chairside support and ensure patient comfort. Requirements Valid New York State Certified Orthodontic Assistant certification or Dental Assistant certification with orthodontic experience. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an orthodontic or dental setting (preferred). Proficiency in orthodontic procedures, including Invisalign and traditional braces. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients of all ages. Knowledge of dental software and digital imaging systems (e.g., iTero, CBCT). Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented mindset. Current CPR certification (preferred). Benefits: Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
