Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of dental procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are readily available. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, explaining procedures to alleviate any concerns. Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the dental management system, preferably Eaglesoft. Perform basic dental procedures such as taking impressions, x-rays, and assisting with medical imaging. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and workspaces in compliance with health regulations. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, particularly in specialties such as pediatrics, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Skills Proficient in using dental management systems, particularly Eaglesoft. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in dealing with young patients. Understanding of prosthodontics and endodontics to assist effectively during specialized procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
