We are a well-established, general family dental practice, located in Scarsdale, NY. We have state of the art technology (completely digitized and paperless), in a new, beautiful office that is conveniently located. The number one goal of our amazing team is to help our patients reach optimal oral health. Each hygiene visit is scheduled for a FULL HOUR - no double-bookings! Responsibilities Escort patients to and from the treatment room Review patient health history forms and update as necessary Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients Perform scaling and root planing as prescribed by the dentist Perform thorough intraoral and extraoral examinations Obtain radiographs as prescribed by the dentist Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluoride and sealants Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques Provide patient education on diet, nutrition, and tobacco use Record clinical notes, pertinent observations, and responses to recommendations Record and sequence treatment plan as directed by the dentist Help patients feel comfortable Schedule or pinboard the next continuing care appointment Assist in the administration of the recall system Skills Understanding of health & safety regulations Proficient computer skills (Knowledge of Open Dental Software is a plus but not required) Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Pay: Negotiable!
