Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician or Dental Assistant trainee to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our medical instruments and equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices, as well as the ability to assist in various clinical tasks. Duties Perform sterilization processes on dental and medical instruments, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Assist dental professionals by preparing treatment areas and ensuring all necessary instruments are sterile and ready for use. Maintain accurate medical records related to sterilization processes and equipment maintenance. Monitor sterilization equipment for proper functioning and report any malfunctions or issues. Support dentistry procedures by being ready and preparing appropriate tools and materials. Conduct vital signs assessments as needed, ensuring patient comfort throughout the process. Collaborate with team members in other specialties to ensure seamless patient care. Experience Previous experience as a dental receptionist or assistant not required. Familiarity with dentistry practices is a plus. Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols is beneficial but we will train also. Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures is essential but we will train on the job. Experience assisting in clinical settings, particularly in pediatrics or endodontics, will be advantageous.
