Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Dentist to help with maternity leave coverage for our associate dentist (Jan-Mar 2027). This temporary position offers the opportunity for additional employment following conclusion of maternity leave coverage for a perfect fit. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for providing high-quality patient care through hygiene exams, emergency exams, and basic restorative procedures (mostly fillings). This role requires excellent communication skills, a kind and confident chairside manner, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Candidates with at least one year of private practice experience are encouraged to apply, with preference given to those enrolled in or graduated from the Kois curriculum as both owner docs are Kois graduates. Responsibilities Conduct hygiene exams and evaluate patient oral health status. Manage dental emergencies promptly and effectively. Perform basic restorative procedures, primarily fillings. Communicate clearly and professionally with patients regarding treatment plans, oral health education, and management of expectations. Maintain detailed clinical notes and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Collaborate with team members through interoffice group chats to coordinate patient care efficiently. Provide a kind, confident, and reassuring chairside manner to ensure patient comfort and trust. Experience Minimum of one year of private practice experience as a General Dentist required. Strong background in general dentistry procedures, patient care, and both team and patient communication. Preference given to candidates enrolled in or graduated from the Kois curriculum, demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills. Pay: $90.00 - $150.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 â 32.0 per week Work Location: In person
