Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH or RDHAP) – Hybrid Role, Local Anesthesia Required Why Join Us? Compensation During the initial three-month period , starting compensation will be based on the candidate’s hygiene experience, local-anesthesia skills, previous dental-assisting experience, and ability to support multiple areas of the practice: $55/hour: Qualified RDH or RDHAP with previous hands-on dental-assisting experience and local-anesthesia skills $57/hour: Experienced RDH or RDHAP with previous hands-on dental-assisting experience, local-anesthesia proficiency, and excellent communication skills $59-$62/ hour in future growth potential: Highly proficient hygienist with excellent clinical performance, operational flexibility, reliability, and meaningful contribution to the practice Following the initial 90-day period , compensation will be reviewed, with the opportunity for an increase based on clinical proficiency, efficiency, professionalism, patient care, flexibility, reliability, and overall contribution to the practice. Additional days will be added progressively with the position ultimately transitioning to full-time . We offer flexibility in scheduling and are willing to work with the right candidate based on availability and preferred days of the week. Hybrid Role & Cross-Training The employee’s primary role will be dental hygiene but may also be asked, as needed, to administer local anesthesia for the dentist ’s restorative or surgical patients. Training on our preferred techniques and protocols will be provided. Previous hands-on dental-assisting experience is required. When not providing scheduled hygiene care, the employee will perform dental-assisting duties and receive cross-training to provide support in patient coordination, administrative, and digital laboratory workflows. Candidates must be comfortable contributing in each of these areas as part of this hybrid, team-oriented position . As the hygiene schedule grows, a dedicated dental assistant will be added to support the hygienist with hygiene-related workflows. Required Qualifications Active California RDH or RDHAP license Completion of California Board-approved training and authorization to: Administer local anesthesia Perform soft-tissue curettage (or willing to obtain authorization) Administer nitrous oxide and oxygen analgesia (or willing to obtain authorization) Current CPR/BLS certification Previous DA experience Willingness to use dental loupes when magnification supports precision and quality of care Pay: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week Work Location: In person
