Overview We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. This role involves diagnosing and treating dental issues in young patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and positive experience throughout their visits. Duties Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for pediatric patients, utilizing appropriate medical imaging and diagnostic tools. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique dental needs of children, including preventive care and restorative procedures. Conduct dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare standards, documenting all treatments and medical histories thoroughly. Collaborate with parents and guardians to educate them on oral health practices, dietary advice, and treatment options suitable for children. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment. Utilize dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping. Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, including medical terminology, dental fabrication techniques, and new treatment modalities. Skills Extensive knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, including dental diagnosis and client communication strategies tailored for children. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for efficient practice management. Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis procedures specific to pediatrics and general dentistry practices. Ability to perform complex procedures including dental implants, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics with precision. Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe pediatric care. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate client communication to ensure positive experiences for young patients. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pediatric dentistry and healthcare documentation requirements. Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on patient care excellence.
