The Associate General Dentist will collaborate closely with team members to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for patients across diverse age groups, including pediatrics. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages. Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and professionalism. Utilize dental imaging technology and medical imaging tools to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment. Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures. Collaborate with specialists in orthodontics, pediatrics, endodontics, and implantology when necessary for comprehensive patient care. Stay current with advancements in dental terminology, techniques, and industry best practices through continuing education. Manage patient assessments effectively by evaluating medical history and dental diagnosis to develop personalized treatment plans. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment while ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice dentistry with current certification in anesthesiology preferred. Proven experience in general dentistry within a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, and oral surgery procedures. Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately. Ability to work effectively within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care delivery. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices when treating young patients is desirable but not mandatory.
