Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - A+ Family Dental - Houston, TX

Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform dental charting and update patient records - Provide assistance with pediatric dental procedures - Conduct patient assessments and document medical history Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - X-ray certification required - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficiency in using Epic for medical records management - Experience with medical coding preferred - Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and protocols - Ability to operate CAD/CAM systems for dental restorations - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
