Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Prosper, TX
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing clinical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality chairside support to our dentists, maintain strict sterilization protocols, and ensure our patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits. Job Overview Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $20.00 â $30.00 per hour (Dependent on experience) Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM â 5:00 PM (No weekends) Location: Windsong Dental. Prosper, TX. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Assist dentists during a variety of examination and treatment procedures. Practice efficient four-handed dentistry to optimize patient care and flow. Take and process high-quality diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays). Sterilization & Operatory Management Clean, disinfect, and set up treatment rooms between patient appointments. Sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines. Monitor and maintain dental equipment to ensure it remains in safe working order. Track and manage clinical inventory to prompt timely supply orders. Patient Care & Administration Welcome patients warmly, seat them comfortably, and prepare them for treatment. Review and update digital patient health histories and clinical charts accurately. Educate patients on post-operative care and daily oral hygiene techniques. Provide administrative support, including scheduling follow-up appointments, when required. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification. Certification: Active State Dental Assistant certificate and X-ray/Radiology certification. Safety: Current CPR/BLS certification is required. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience preferred (open to recent graduates of accredited programs). Software: Experience with Dentrix is required. Skills: Exceptional interpersonal communication, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset. Experience with digital technologies such as CBCT, intraoral scanning, 3D printing.
