Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)/Dental Assistant – Private Practice Are you an EFDA/Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care and wants to make a real difference in patient care? Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients warmly Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort take and record patient blood pressures Set up instruments, equipment, and materials for dental procedures Sterilize instruments in compliance with safety standards Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry techniques Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care guidance Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and orderly dental operatory Accurately maintain patient records and documentation post op calls to patients after procedures scanning Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a dental assistant Must be able to make provisional (temp) crowns EFDA certification required x ray certification Proficiency with dental instruments and sterilization protocols Strong understanding of health and safety regulations Good computer and dental software skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities High attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills High school diploma or equivalent (Dental Assistant program graduate preferred) Additional certifications or training are a plus If you are ready to join a supportive, patient-focused environment where your skills are valued and your contributions truly matter, apply today !
