Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Oak Park, IL

We are a growing private dental practice in Oak Park seeking an organized, warm, dependable patient coordinator. This person will be central to the patient experience and to the practiceâs growth: answering inquiries quickly, converting calls into appointments, keeping the schedule productive, and helping patients understand insurance and financial expectations. What youâll do Answer calls/texts promptly and professionally; convert new-patient inquiries into scheduled visits. Manage scheduling, confirmations, waitlists, cancellations, and same-day openings. Collect and verify patient information and coordinate insurance eligibility/benefit checks. Explain estimates, payment expectations, and office policies clearly and respectfully. Track referral source for every new patient and help maintain accurate practice data. Support recall/reactivation outreach and follow up on unscheduled treatment. Request patient feedback/reviews using compliant office workflows; never offer incentives for reviews. Coordinate closely with the dentist, assistant, and office manager to reduce delays and improve service. What weâre looking for Dental front-office experience strongly preferred. Strong phone, customer-service, scheduling, and written communication skills. Comfort with dental terminology, insurance/PPO workflows, treatment estimates, and collections is highly valued. Reliable, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable learning software and performance dashboards. Ability to protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA and office security procedures.
