Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations. Provide direct patient care by performing dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Utilize Softdent software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments. Apply knowledge of dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Employ aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent contamination. Perform medical imaging procedures as required, including X-rays. Assist in four-handed dentistry by supporting the dentist during procedures. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments and observations. Provide specialized care for pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for children. Qualifications Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Proficiency in patient assessment and care techniques. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic technique. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental management software is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology and medical imaging processes. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient care. Compassionate approach to working with patients of all ages.
