We are looking for a friendly, dependable Part-Time Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a supportive, close-knit team. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, approximately 8:15 a.m.–5:00 p.m . Approximately 24 hours per week Pay: 22$-29$ per hour, depending on dental assisting experience, certifications, and pediatric experience Anticipated start date: As soon as possible About the Position You’ll help us provide positive, comfortable dental experiences for children of all ages. The ideal candidate is cheerful, organized, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Pediatric dental experience is helpful, but we are also open to someone with a great attitude, strong fundamentals, and a genuine desire to learn. Responsibilities Set up treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures Clean and sterilize instruments and operatories according to infection-control and OSHA standards Take high-quality diagnostic X-rays using patient-friendly coaching techniques Accurately document patient information and treatment Help children feel safe, comfortable, and encouraged throughout their visits Provide oral hygiene instructions to children and caregivers Take impressions and perform basic laboratory duties Assist with equipment maintenance and dental supply inventory Keep treatment rooms organized and help maintain an efficient patient flow Anticipate the needs of the dentist and team Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and families Qualifications California dental X-ray certification required Coronal-polishing certification preferred; recent graduates who are completing their certification requirements are encouraged to apply. RDA licensure is not required. Previous dental assisting experience preferred Pediatric dental experience is a plus but not required Friendly, patient, and comfortable working with children of all ages Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team Why Join Good Tooth Kids Dental?
