Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontics Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The successful candidate will support orthodontic procedures and provide exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting the orthodontist during various treatments, preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations, adjustments, and procedures with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for orthodontic assessments. Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices. Record detailed patient information and treatment notes accurately in electronic health records. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up visits to ensure timely treatment progress. Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with safety standards. Support administrative tasks such as inventory management of dental supplies and patient correspondence as required. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably with specialization in orthodontics. Certification or licensure in dental assisting is preferred; relevant training or coursework in orthodontics is a plus. Strong understanding of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and related equipment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control standards.
